Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 7 am–2 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (610) 798-6079. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, northwoodrfc.com.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Northwood Racquet & Fitness has become our home base whenever we’re preparing for the US Open and other tournaments in the United States. My wife, Ekaterine Gorgodze, competes at the Grand Slam level, and we’ve trained at many clubs around the world, but Northwood truly stands out. The tennis courts are always in outstanding condition, the facility is exceptionally well maintained, the location is perfect, and there’s plenty of convenient parking. The atmosphere is professional yet welcoming, making it an ideal place for both high-performance training and recreational players. A special thank you to Mikel, who has been incredibly helpful every time we visit. His professionalism, deep knowledge of tennis, and willingness to assist make a real difference. We always look forward to coming back and highly recommend Northwood Racquet & Fitness to anyone looking for a first-class tennis club.

We have been bringing our two boys ages 16 and 11, to this club for tennis for a few years now. Our older one was introduced to tennis 5 yrs ago, and this club has been his home all along. The coaches here have helped him learn, relearn and fine tune his game, of this very technical sport, in a relatively short time since he picked up a raquet. His steepest progress in competitive tennis has been this spring and summer, and we are excited for the upcoming year for both our boys. It is very encouraging to know that the club will also be hosting a number of USTA tournaments from this summer to provide opportunities for the kids to compete at those levels locally. It was just as noteworthy to have the new owner come watch the high schoolers from their club, during this spring varsity season, and to be a part of their journey outside of the club as well, observing and providing constructive criticism to their local boys. The staff has always been helpful and responsive to us in everything from scheduling lessons/ classes appropriately to even last minute raquet stringing before a tournament match. With changes in the administration/ ownership, the club has additionally acquired, and

We held a corporate party/outing at this place. Invited all the employees to enjoy a day at Northwood Racquet and fitness. They gave us a very good deal since we booked couple tennis courts and also enjoyed a padel for an hour. Overall the package deal was very affordable and the quality of the courts were unmatched. Thanks for having us!
